From Embers And Ashes

My debut novel, a queer adult fantasy.

Nik has trained for years to be a dragon rider, part of the dragon army that guards Aurorian against all threats. Never in his life has he ever questioned the need for things they do in their role. But when Nik and a group of friends uncover a dangerous that threatens the very foundations of their society he has a choice to make. Will they uphold the system or will they break it down?

A gripping tale of friendship, political intrigue, rebellion and explicit queerness.

Representation

Matters

I knew when I started my writing journey, I wanted queerness to be a big part of my author voice and my brand. I prioritized writing inclusive transgender, intersex and non-binary characters, not just protagonists but shaping queerness into my worlds seamlessly.

Because I write stories for the queer folks out there who just want to escape into a fantasy world where they are front and center.

Visibility

No queer coding, just open labels and dialogue that openly shows queer identities and the normalisation of breaking gender norms, queer romances and even polyamorous family building - the worlds I am crafting are unmistakably and openly queer.

Lasting impact

No censorship, no AI writing, just queerness. In a time where trans rights are under attack more then ever in the UK, I am still writing our stories. Because they can not erase us and we will always be here.
